When your car's been in a collision, suffered accidental damage or been a target of vandalism, it's important that you take it to the right repair shop to ensure it's correctly returned to its original condition. 1. Ensure Safety

Immediately after the incident, ensure that you and any others involved are safe and well. Call 911 if there are any injuries, and move your vehicle off the road if it's safe to do so.

2. Check for Damage

Next, check both vehicles for damage, and make a video or camera record of what you find. If your car is undrivable, contact Vancouver Honda and we'll give you details of our recommended repair facilities to have it towed to.

3. Take Driver Details

If another driver was involved, take their details, including:

  • Name, licence number, and full contact details including home address
  • Licence plate and make, model,and year of vehicle
  • Insurance details.
4. Take Witness Details

If there were any witnesses to the incident, ask for their names and contact details.

5. Describe the Incident

Next, note down the circumstances of the collision, including

  • The incident date, time, and location
  • Your direction of travel
  • The lane and position of the other vehicle.
  • Weather and road conditions
6. Contact ICBC

You now have all the details you need to make a claim with ICBC.
