The 2019 Honda HR-V: Style, Utility, and Economy in a Subcompact SUV

The Honda HR-V is the perfect vehicle when you want the usefulness of an SUV without the bulk. It’s designed to maximize space so you can economically and creatively transport more cargo than what would fit in a comparable sedan. The HR-V comes in three well-equipped trims for 2019: LX, Sport, and Touring.

Great Standard Exterior Features in the 2019 Honda HR-V

No matter what trim you purchase, you will be surprised at the number of standard features Honda provides, including exterior equipment. The LX has 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, body-coloured heated power side mirrors, LED brake and daytime running lights, a front wiper de-icer, and a decorative dark chrome front grille.

The new Sport trim adds fog lights, an exhaust finisher, one-touch power moonroof, roof rails, and more. The Touring model features LED fog lights, LED headlights with auto on/off, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a lower body garnish (body coloured).

All trims include optional packages that add more exterior features to better customize your HR-V for your lifestyle.

Efficient Power to Handle 1,600 Litres of Cargo in the 2019 Honda HR-V

The 2019 Honda HR-V is powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that provides 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque, which is enough for you to load up the HR-V with friends and cargo and head for a weekend getaway. The LX is available in either FWD or AWD models. The FWD’s fuel consumption is a low 8.4/7.0 l/100 km (city/highway), while the AWD remains efficient at 8.8 l/100 km in the city and 7.5 l/100 km on the highway. The LX-AWD, Sport, and Touring trims have Honda’s Intelligent Control System that manages traction and increases safety on challenging roads.

The interior is one of the most versatile in its class. Each trim has over 1,600 litres of cargo room with the rear seats down and 700 litres when it’s up. The 60/40 Split Second-Row Magic Seats fold up at the bottom, making the storage of vertical cargo easier. Other standard features include heated front seats, a rearview camera, Display Audio System with HondaLink, and Apple Carplay/Android Auto.

The Sport and Touring trims feature Active Noise Cancellation, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, proximity key entry, and more.
