The 2019 Honda Civic Sedan: A New Generation of Innovation and Efficiency

You’ll simply be impressed with the tenth-generation Honda Civic. With an updated exterior, this compact sedan looks a lot like its cousin, the Honda Accord. This year’s model lineup features five trims: the DX, LX, EX, Sport, and Touring.

Ride in Style with the 2019 Honda Civic

The new and sharp exterior is designed to grab attention, and its aerodynamic and sporty appearance makes a bold statement. Equipped with standard exterior features made for Canadian roads, it’s also practical. The DX’s 16-inch wheels and all-season tires help adjust it to road conditions in any season. Body-coloured and heated power door mirrors help the LX combine looks and function. The EX’s speed-sensing windshield wipers optimize contact in various conditions.

The dark alloy 18-inch wheels on the Sport trim increase style and road contact, and the Touring’s decklid spoiler and LED fog lights enhance the Civic’s presence.

New Drivetrain and Efficient Technology in the 2019 Honda Civic

Year after year, the Civic’s reputation for efficiency gets a boost. All 2019 models (except Touring) have a 158-horsepower four-cylinder engine that creates 138 lb-ft of torque with fuel consumption of just 7.9/6.1 l/100 km (city/highway) when paired with a CVT transmission. The manual transmission on both the DX and LX (CVT optional) increases it to 9.3/6.5. The Touring trim includes a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder that increases horsepower to 174—all with a nominal difference in fuel consumption.

Although it’s easy to become distracted by the beautiful exterior and efficient performance of the Civic, you can’t overlook its interior. All trims receive power windows and door locks, a centre convenience console, and plenty of pockets for storage. The LX adds a 7-inch colour display, acoustic windshield, and a 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback. The EX upgrades to dual-zone climate control, an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats.

You’ll enjoy the trim accents in the Sport model, including custom pedals. The Touring trim includes a HomeLink remote system, leather seating surfaces, Display Audio System with Voice Recognition, and much more.
